This weekend marked the anniversary of the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, a weekend marked by racist rhetoric and violence, including the murder of counter protester Heather Heyer. On Sunday, the group behind the Charlottesville rally held another rally in Washington, DC. Democratic Congressman Don Beyer counts DC suburbs Alexandria and Arlington among his constituents, representing Virginia’s 8th District. He joins us to talk about what happened this weekend, and how it compared to last year's violence in his state. |
