Beyer Statement On 20th Anniversary Of September 11 Attacks
Washington, September 10, 2021
September 10, 2021 (Washington, D.C.) – Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA), who represents the Northern Virginia suburbs of the nation’s capital, issued the following statement today commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the September 11 attacks:
“Twenty years ago, our country suffered a terrible attack that ended the lives of thousands, including beloved members of our Northern Virginia community. On this hallowed day we remember the people we lost on September 11th, the selfless courage of our first responders, and the sacrifices made by Americans in uniform on that day and the days since. Though much time has passed and much has changed, we will not forget them, or our shared sense of purpose as a nation that brought us together in the aftermath of 9/11.”
Beyer will spend September 11th participating in events to commemorate the anniversary across Northern Virginia.
