November 9, 2021 (Washington, D.C.) – Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) traveled yesterday to Glasgow, Scotland, as part of a Congressional delegation to the COP26 United Nations Conference on Climate Change led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. While at the conference the Representatives will participate in bilateral meetings and panel discussions on the climate crisis, and engage with global leaders on solutions to climate change.
“The climate crisis is the most serious existential threat to humanity of our time, and we are determined to be part of the solution,” said Rep. Beyer. “By representing Congress at the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, we will bring the message that Congress and the American people are committed to taking action on the scale needed to protect the planet for future generations. The Build Back Better Act will be a key piece of that action, and I look forward to engagement with global leaders to discuss these and other policies to cut emissions and prevent the worst effects of climate change.”
