A bipartisan group of my colleagues and I are urging leaders of both parties to take immediate action to address the risks posed by rapidly advancing AI. Recent cyberattacks involving AI agents and growing warnings from leaders and researchers at the companies developing this technology make clear that these risks are no longer hypothetical. When Donald Trump and Elon Musk dismantled USAID last year, thousands of civil servants were recklessly fired. This was devastating for them, and the millions of people they assisted globally. USAID is American leadership at its best, and our world is worse off without them.

At every possible turn, the Trump-Vance Administration has made decisions that send costs skyrocketing. From healthcare to groceries to energy costs, American families are desperate for relief from these absurd, and often illegal, policies.

Trump’s proposed 250 ft. vanity arch is illegal, wildly narcissistic, and would only make traffic gridlock worse. Even @NationalParkService acknowledges the project would disrupt Arlington National Cemetery. This monstrosity must be stopped and I’m fighting to make sure it is.

President Trump and Elon Musk’s reckless decision to dismantle USAID has already caused needless death, suffering, and lasting damage around the world. The consequences have fallen hardest on the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people, with an estimated 12 million additional child deaths expected by 2045. We cannot undo the damage that's been done, but we can and should rebuild and strengthen USAID in the years to come to prevent this from happening again.
