Rep. Don Beyer today released a summary of assistance available to Northern Virginia small businesses in the National Capital Region amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The document explains the Paycheck Protection Program, Economic Injury Disaster Loans, and other related programs, and also outlines Beyer’s attempts to secure improvements as large numbers of frustrated small business owners continue to seek loans and government assistance.

“As a former small business owner myself, I understand the deep pain small business owners are feeling right now as they face difficult decisions, uncertain futures, and frightening times,” said Beyer. “I share the frustrations of those who have already attempted to access some of this assistance without success or with extreme difficulty and confusion. I am working every single day trying to fix and fund these programs and make them work for small business owners, and will not stop until they get the help they need.”
