Rep. Don Beyer issued the following statement this morning after the mass shooting in Las Vegas which killed 50 people and injured over 200:

“This morning’s news is horrific.  Again, and again, and again, people in the United States, going about their daily lives, are subject to gun fire and to potential injury or death.  It is unfathomable and unacceptable. 

Our hearts are with the many, many families whose lives were shattered by this massacre. We have a moral duty to honor their lives with action. We must not, and we will not, become desensitized to gun violence.”
