U.S. Representative Don Beyer released the following statement after signing on to an Amicus Brief in support of President Obama's appeal in the Fifth Circuit case of Texas v. United States: 

“I am proud to stand with the President and join this Brief. I fully support the President’s Executive Action on immigration – DAPA and an expanded DACA program are the best way to serve and support the new Americans who live, work, and pay taxes in the United States. While Congress continues to delay action on comprehensive immigration reform, these measures are a smart and effective step in the right directions as we work to create the new American economy. I hope that the Court will uphold the President's Action, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to fully implement it,” said Rep. Beyer.
